Mckfresh Nail Attire Valentines Day Duo - Swatch & Review

*Products in this post provided for my honest review. Read my Disclosure Policy here.

Hi ladies!
I'm back again with another review of some brand new Mckfresh Nail Attire Polishes! This lovely Valentines Day Duo will be released alongside the Mckfresh Ooo-Friends! Adventure Time Collection tonight! Check out my review of the Ooo-Friends Collection here.

First is Like A Dream, a soft, romantic cream coloured crelly. It has lovely little gold flakes with rose pink micro glitters and a beautiful gold dust shimmer throughout. The formula was great, really smooth and not streaky at all. However, it was a little bit sheer (my swatches show 4 coats) but because of the soft prettiness of this shade, the sheerness kinda works. Anyway, you could always layer it over a nude if you wanted full opacity :)

On the nail, the gold dust hasn't really shown up in my photos but you definitely see it IRL! Check out the bottle for an idea of how pretty it is.

Swatch shows 4 coats with Seche Vite topcoat.

The second half of the Mckfresh Valentines Duo is Where's the Confetti. This one has heaps of tiny neon pink, white, & watermelon hexes in a pastel pink crelly base.

The concept of this polish is the same as Lady from the Mckfresh Ooo-Friends Collection and the formula is much the same. Whilst the base is a little sheer, you get opacity from the build up of all the glitter!

Swatch shows 3 coats with topcoat.

Mckfresh Nail Attire 'Ooo-Friends!' Adventure Time inspired collection - Swatch & Review

*Products in this post provided for my honest review. Read my Disclosure Policy here.

Today I have a brand new collection from Mckfresh Nail Attire to share with you all! Fans of Adventure Time will be super excited to discover that this five shade collection is based on five colourful characters from the cult cartoon. This collection, titled 'Ooo-Friends!', is 'Episode 1' of Mckfresh Adventure Time inspired polishes, with another collection to come later this year.

All swatches are finished with one coat of Seche Vite topcoat. Photos taken with artificial light in lightbox, unless otherwise noted.

First up is a black jelly inspired by Marceline. This one has a ton of holographic hexes in red, silver and purple. Daddy's Little Monster would sparkle like crazy in the sun but when I was swatching this, the sun was refusing to come out!
Application was nice and easy and only needed two coats for full opacity which means no black undies for this one!

Puncha Yo Buns is a white crelly based on Finn. This one is full of circle and square glitter in blue, green, white and black. I really like this one! It's really fun and has a unique mix of glitter. It also didn't need white undies, I needed three coats on its own to reach opacity. You could also just do one coat over white for a simpler look.

Next is Lady, inspired by Lady Raincorn. This pastel yellow crelly is filled with little hex in all the colours of the rainbow! It has neon pink, blue, green, white, and orange tiny hex - and lots of them! The base is a little sheer but it works because of the huge amount of glitters so you get a lot of coverage from the glitters alone. My swatch shows 3 coats.

'W.C.D.M.C' (Whistling Choir Death Match Championship), is based on Princess Bubblegum. This soft lolly pink with small pastel circles and tiny pink and white hex. The formula was lovely and smooth with a good glitter payout. My swatch shows 3 coats.

Last from the Ooo-Friends! collection, What the Lump?! - inspired by Lumpy Space Princess. This is a lovely pink-toned pastel purple crelly and is my favourite from the collecton! It's has a unique mix of glitter with gold stars, purple circles, and black hex and bars. I had no problems getting the stars out so there must be a ton in the bottle. It does require a little bit of fiddling to get the stars and bars to lay flat and you need a generous coat of  topcoat to smooth it out but it's totally worth it!!

The Mckfresh Nail Attire Ooo-Friends! Collection will be available at 8pm (AEDST) this Thursday night (30/01) at $10.00 per 12ml bottle. Check out their Etsy store here.

Stay tuned for more from Mckfresh Nail Attire in the next few days when I show you their Valentines Day Duo. :)

Nail Art: Sparkly Leopard Print

Hello! Happy 2014!

I'm back after a brief (and unannounced) hiatus! Work and family and just Christmastime in general kept me super busy over the past month or so and I barely had time to paint my nails, let alone blog! I've also been keeping busy running my indie brand Moonstone Nail Polish and have some exciting things planned for this year (including participating in next months What's In-die Box!!!)

But anyway, I'm back now :) Let's see how long I can keep up regular posting..

The nails I have to show you today are from about a month ago when my nails where all lovely and long and even (my index is looking a little worse for wear at present).

Inspired by Chalkboard Nail's 'Blinged Out Leopard', these are my favourite leopard print nails that I've done yet! I love leopard print manis because they're so easy! All you need to do is get a dotting tool and start making splodges and wiggly 'C' shapes :)

For the base I used the relatively new Face of Australia Midnight Fireworks from the Carnivale Textured collection. Being pretty unfamiliar with textured polishes, I was surprised at how much I liked it! I have since picked up two more from the collection. I did need a few coats of top coat to smooth out the texture but I love how it turned out! I used acrylic paint for the pattern.
